GamingClubNetwork.net Launches

Tonight saw the epic launch of the GCNs new webpage.

Speaking to one of the people who worked behind the scenes on getting this working they have been really excited leading up to the launch of this site and is a major overhaul, if not a totally redesigned site, gone are the incredibly chunky parts of the old site that even my modestly modern phone sometimes struggled to deal with and in with a sleek and crisp interface that is modern simplistic and easy to use.

On the site is all the information that you need from local clubs to joining, having been a newly converted member to GCN I can state categorically that my time spent playing games has risen drastically since joining a GCN affiliated club and it opens a lot more opportunities to play more games that previously you may not have even considered looking at.

So my suggestion is to swing by the site check out what clubs are local to you and find out how to go along and get involved.

GW throwing the baby out with the bathwater?

It has come to light that Games Workshop may be pulling the plug on its support for the GCN.

In a leaked document it states that all stores should remove advertising for Gaming Clubs Network clubs. Just why they would want to do this is a mystery to me although some mutterings have found there way to my ears, such as GW trying to enforce things onto the GCN, which to be honest would lead to clubs having to up there fees for members to a level that could see some clubs go into decline and close.
